Post Fair Tour - Diane Loosle FamilySearch

Thanks to FamilySearch.org, we have been able to arrange a Post Fair tour of the speaker they brought out from the USA, Diane Loosle. She will be speaking in Te Puke, Taupo, Palmerston North, Christchurch, Dunedin and Alexandra. Many thanks must go to Mike Higgins and all the folks at our fellow non-profit organisation, FamilySearch for making this possible. Here is their stand at our 2013 Fair.

Part of our Fair's focus was supporting the education of family history in schools. Diane not only spoke at some of the schools prior to the Fair but also to numerous school groups who visited the Fair on the Friday.

Brooke Dobson from TVOne Breakfast went live to air on the Friday morning with the first school group who were from Farm Cove Intermediate.

Thank you to Diane for her support of the work of the New Zealand Society of Genealogists in watering the seeds planted with the school children, who are just starting with their interest in genealogy, whakapapa and family history.
